Summary

OAK FLATS, NSW, 34 34S 150 49E, a south-ern wollongong suburb in shellharbour Municipality (map 14B). It stands on the south-ern shores of lake illawarra.

OAK PARK, Vic, a north-western Melbourne suburb in the City of broadmeadows (map 25:B2). It was named after a house built by John Pascoe Fawkner. OAK VALLEY, Qld, an outer south-eastern Townsville locality (map 5) in the City of thuringowa.

OAKBANK, SA (oak-bank), 34 59S 138 51E, a township (pop. 230) in the district council area of onkaparinga to the south of the Adelaide metropolitan area (map 9). It was named after a district in Glasgow, Scotland.

OAKDALE, NSW (oak-dale), 3405S 150 31E, a small town (pop. 530) in wollondilly Shire to the north-east of picton (map 14B).

OAKEY, Qld (oh-kee), 2726S 151 43E (map 10), a town (pop. 3279) in jondaryan Shire, of which it is the administrative centre. It is on the darling downs on what was formerly Barung-gam Aboriginal land. The region produces beef, dairy goods, grain and peanuts, and these are processed in the town, which has also an engineering industry. The army has an aviation base nearby. OAKFORD, WA (oakfeford), an outer southern Perth locality in the Shire of serpentinejarrahdale (map 20:B4).

OAKHURST, NSW (oak-hurst), an outer western Sydney suburb in the City of blacktown (map 26:B1).

OAKLANDS, NSW (oak-lănds), 35 33S 14610E, a township (pop. 263) in the eastern riverina (map 17). Most of it is in urana Shire, the remainder in the Shire of jerilderie.
