These instructions detail how to set up LTI configuration for Cambridge Spiral and Higher Education from Cambridge University Press textbook content in Canvas.

Setting up LTI Integration

Go to Admin -> Settings -> Apps

Click on + App to add a new App.

Add a name (this can be anything)

Add the key, secret and URL provided by us in the relevant field

Add ‘cambridge.org’ into the Domain field.

Under Privacy indicate e-mail only.

You can add an optional description if you wish.

Click Submit

Adding a link to title via the course

Go to your course module where you want the link to appear. Click on the + sign in the module to bring up the ‘Add item to’ dialog.

Select External Tool from the Add dropdown box

Locate the App you configured previously and click on it.

Enter the LTI link for the book or chapter you want to link to e.g https://www.cambridge.org/highereducation/lti/86B27B08AF675395E5ADE5544AAD4CB0

Enter a name for the link. This could be anything but we recommend the book title or chapter title.

Tick the ‘Load in a new tab’ option

Click Add Item to save your link.

Your link is now ready to use.

Obtaining Links for Higher Education from Cambridge University Press

You can get LTI links from the Higher Education from Cambridge University Press website if you are logged in as an instructor and visit the book or chapter you wish to link to.
